Nice large park on the coast with two large pavilions right next to downtown Gulfport. Went out here with the family to view the Christmas lights and enjoy the midway and rides with the kids. Very nice park and staff was extremely nice, would have to check it out in the spring or summer to really appreciate it.

The fun and adventures at Jones Park is never lacking. We visit here often for events, boat tours, Christmas lights, beach sitting etc. The best part is it is handicapped accessible for differently enabled individuals! Everything about this park is bright, engaging and enjoyable for all ages and abilities!

Lovely park by the harbor and the waterfront. The playground is quite large and is completely fenced in, which is great as the area nearby is quite busy traffic. There is a huge parking lot here and a great beach. Typical smooth and firm sand of the Gulf Coast. The park has a large walking trail. A full mile if you walk the entire perimeter or smaller trails throughout. [Review 14192 overall, 1514 of 2020, number 82 in Mississippi.]

Gorgeous waterfront park with a marina and plenty of grassy areas. We saw a sign and pulled in while we were on our way to Moss Point! There is plenty of parking and a beautiful lighthouse structure that makes for great photo ops! They also have a beautiful pavilion that is next to the water which I am assuming you can rent out for events. There is plenty of space to sprawl out on the grass and have a picnic on a warm summer day! There were trails that you can access from this park including those that take you to beachy areas but, we just opted to take a quick break and walk the dog.

A lovely park and pavilion that overlooks the water with a busy marina area. This was our first stop into Gulfport, where we hung out for awhile before the sun went down. It was an active area with full access to miles of sandy beach. There was a splash pad adjacent to the playground for the kiddos. It was so nice to see so much greenery and open space to frolic and play. I even saw a workout class taking place and people using the area for some fitness fun. Easy access to downtown Gulfport restaurants and night life scene. You can even catch some of Gulfport's boat excursions and charters here. Bring the family for a fun day of outdoors and even enjoy the beach, too! Hopefully the next time, I come out here, there are some live shows are some open markets going on here, which I have read happen here. When visiting Gulfport or Biloxi area, bookmark this to make sure you stop at.

Jones Park is awesome! There are waking trails that mark the distance for you depending on which route you choose. At night all the pavilions are lit with beautiful colors and the park is well maintained. You can stroll while looking at the boats and if you veer off the trail you can spend part of your walk on the beach. The park 'closes' at 10:30. If you walk East on the sidewalk parallel to the water you will have enough light to feel safe but as you walk a little further it gets very very dark so plan ahead and don't walk alone.
